Looking back, I’ve always found myself in roles where I’m organizing the chaos. My career began in retail management, where I honed my leadership skills and developed an eye for detail. I then owned and operated a boutique property staging and interior decorating business where I discovered my passion for transforming spaces and creating environments that are both beautiful and functional. This experience sparked my love for design, and I’ve carried that creativity throughout my career.
My pivot into administrative roles began as I explored opportunities in tech, reinsurance, and finance. Each transition has taught me how to adapt quickly and efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. In my most recent role, I had the privilege of supporting the CIO of a hedge fund, where I refined my ability to manage complex schedules, prioritize competing demands, and think strategically in support of executive leadership. Now, as an Administrative Assistant at OMERS Ventures, I continue to blend my administrative expertise with my design background to provide both structure and creativity in everything I do.
I love that no two days are ever the same. One day, I might be coordinating a busy calendar and handling logistics, while the next, I’m tackling a challenge that requires me to think outside the box. These seemingly opposite skills satisfy different parts of my brain, and that’s what keeps me motivated.
What should your colleagues know about you?
I’m pretty resourceful—whether it’s answering a tricky question, organizing a last-minute event, or solving problems with an innovative solution, I’m always up for the challenge. My blend of administrative expertise and creative problem-solving allows me to approach tasks from a unique angle, helping me to stay adaptable and focused no matter the situation.
What makes you a good partner?
I’m someone who thrives under pressure and in fast-paced environments. I balance logic and creativity, which allows me to adapt to changing circumstances while staying organized. Whether it’s helping a team meet tight deadlines or supporting leadership with creative solutions, I’m always ready to jump in and help. What makes me a good partner is my ability to bring calm and structure when things get chaotic, while also adding that creative touch to drive solutions.
What do you do when you’re not working?
When I’m not at work, you’ll find me outdoors—whether I’m paddle boarding on the water or enjoying a weekend at a cottage with friends. I’m a big fan of exploring new parts of Europe and immersing myself in different cultures. I also love spending time in thrift shops hunting for unique treasures, and of course, enjoying a good dinner out with friends. These activities keep me grounded, inspired, and always seeking new experiences.
